Countdown To Christmas

On the Eighth Day of Christmas, my PT gave to me…. 8 hours of sleep

Another huge area which people are just starting to wake up to (pardon the pun). Aim for 7-9 hours of good quality sleep a night to let the body rest and repair. It also will help you with clear and concise decision making throughout the next day. You are less likely to think irrationally and therefore make goal-driven choices rather than emotional ones.

Toms Tip: Try to minimize screen time on smartphones and devices in the hour before you go to sleep, so you give your mind a chance to slow down, and also so that the blue light that these devices emit is not able to stimulate your brain when it should be winding down to go to sleep. If you do need to use them, most devices will have a night mode which will reduce the blue light.
