Countdown To Christmas

On the Sixth Day of Christmas, my PT gave to me…. 6 minutes of Mindfulness

Mindfulness - it is becoming a really important subject as people’s lives are becoming busier and busier and we don’t always stop to appreciate the things we are grateful for or to be still in the moment. This can make you feel frazzled, stressed and constantly overwhelmed.

Try integrating a few minutes a day into your everyday life to stop, think, breathe, maybe get outside for some fresh air or write down a few things you are grateful for.. this has been proven to decrease anxiety and stress whilst increasing focus and happiness.

Being mindful - being present in the moment, engaging with it and also being fully aware of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions will help both your physical and mental health.

For me, mindfulness is making effort to engage fully when I spend time with my two daughters, ensuring I take time away from my busy work life (especially putting down my phone!) and appreciating what I have. It's definitely an area that I am constantly working to improve on and learn more about.
